Castor Vali Africa (CVA) are proud to be featured in the 2021 Integrity Index by the British Chamber of Commerce Kenya. It features companies in Kenya that are committed to business integrity, have strong integrity procedures and a track record of working with multinational organisations.
Lawrence Clinton, Chief Operating Officer, says, ‘Castor Vali’s listing in the BCCK Integrity Index demonstrate CVA’s integrity and ethical track record are as strong as ever. As Castor Vali expands, compliance and business ethics continue to drive our strategic vision and operational agenda.’
The BCCK has launched a report, which details the practical measures being taken by companies on the Index. These are all linked to the Business Integrity Initiative’s (BII) six integrity principles; proportionate procedures, top level commitment, risk assessment, due diligence, communication and training, monitoring and review.
To be listed in the Integrity Index Castor Vali has been assessed in the following areas:
- track record of working with UK and international companies,
- regulatory compliance,
- track record and rules-based policies covering bribery, embezzlement, corruption and money laundering.
Farida Abbas, CEO, BCCK says, “A listing on the Index is external recognition of the efforts being made to run a trusted and ethical business. We aim to prove that ethical business pays. So, we will be signposting these businesses to any UK organisations looking to partner with Kenya-based companies.”
The listing in the Integrity Index is in addition to Castor Vali’s other long standing compliance activities. Castor Vali has been TRACE Certified since 2017. TRACE Certification is a heavily benchmarked and comprehensive due diligence review, analysis and approval process which establishes that an organisation has been thoroughly vetted, trained and certified. Listing in the BCCK Integrity Index provides CVA’s suppliers and clients with additional reassurance of our enduring commitment to business ethics.
