During Q1, Castor Vali was appointed to support a client’s vessel during an offshore project in Nigerian waters. Our client required a comprehensive security solution to safeguard their crew and assets while maintaining operational efficiency.
Our security measures included:
- Pre-Entry Risk Assessment – Before the vessel entered Nigerian waters, Castor Vali conducted a full risk assessment, ensuring all necessary security measures were in place.
- Security Escort Vessel (SEV) Deployment – To mitigate threats upon entry, we provided an SEV to safely escort the client vessel into Port Harcourt for mobilisation.
- Onboard Security Enhancements – While in port, our team conducted a vessel hardening vulnerability assessment, leading to modifications that optimised security for offshore operations.
- 24/7 Onboard Protection – Two Castor Vali Maritime Security Officers (MSOs) were deployed to provide continuous security overwatch, allowing the crew to focus on their core objectives and to work safely.
- Operational Coverage and Intelligence Support – Throughout the project, we provided 24/7 operational coverage, tracking, and monitoring of the vessel. Daily intelligence updates and reporting ensured the client had situational awareness.
- Secure Maritime Operations – With vessel hardening complete and security drills and crew training conducted, the client’s vessel proceeded to the project site under SEV escort, where it successfully operated until demobilisation.
- Safe Demobilisation – Upon project completion, Castor Vali’s MSOs demobilised in Port Harcourt, and our SEV escorted the client vessel safely out of Nigerian waters.
