Less than a month to go until Rhino Charge 2021 and Castor Vali is proud to continue as one of the events main sponsors. The Rhino Charge will be held in Kenya on the 17th July in an undisclosed location, (the exact location will not be announced until a few weeks before the event – this is all part of the magic of the Charge!). Preparations have been ongoing for many months and Steve Grant, Group Managing Director, has been heavily involved.
About Rhino Charge
The Rhino Charge is an annual off-road 4×4 competition held in Kenya in which entrants are required to visit 13 points (guard posts) scattered over approximately 100 km² of rough terrain within a 10 hour period. Funds raised from the event support the activities of the Rhino Ark Kenya Charitable Trust, which work towards the conservation and protection of Kenya’s mountain range ecosystems.
The cancellation of last year’s Rhino Charge event due to COVID-19 was a huge loss. This years event will be held in adherence to strict COVID-19 protocols which has made security arrangements even more challenging than in previous years. The 2021 Rhino Charge fundraising event is arguably more important than ever as the work of Rhino Ark continues. To date, Rhino Ark has built 650 km of electric fences and through the fencing programmes, over 80,000 families are being protected from the dangers of human-wildlife conflicts.
Castor Vali Ltd is a proud sponsor of the rhino charge and has been involved with the event since 2014.
