West African VRA/HRA: One alert was reported this week: An attempted Robbery of an anchored Cargo Vessel at Takoradi Anchorage, Ghana on the 10th of July.

Indian Ocean VRA/HRA: One alert was reported this week: A notice of a Live Firing Exercise from the 10th-13th of July, reported on the 10th of July.

Southeast Asia Region: One alert was reported this week: A Robbery of a Bulk Carrier in the Phillip Channel, Singapore Strait on the 11th of July.

Americas Region: No alert was ported this week. The last reported alert was a robbery of a Chemical Tanker at Callao Anchorage, Peru on the 3rd of June.

Over the reporting period, six  incidents were reported

Summary:

West African VRA/HRA: Two alerts were reported this week: The boarding of an anchored Tanker near Conakry, Guinea on the 5th of July, and a robbery of a Fishing Vessel underway in Sierra Leone’s northern waters on the 5th of July.

Indian Ocean VRA/HRA: Three alerts were reported this week: Notice of Firing Exercises in the Arabian Sea through the 10th – 31st of July, reported on the 3rd of July, an alert of US Navy interventions of Iranian Navy seizure efforts in the Gulf of Oman on the 5th of July and an Iranian Navy seizure of Tanker in the Persian Gulf on 6th of July.

Southeast Asia Region: One alert was reported this week: A Robbery of Barge Under Tow by a Tug in the Westbound lane TSS, Singapore strait on the 4th of July. Another was reported outside the reporting period regarding a robbery of an anchored Tanker near Priok anchorage, Jakarta Indonesia on the 2nd of July.

Americas Region: No alert was ported this week. The last reported alert was a robbery of a Chemical Tanker at Callao Anchorage, Peru on the 3rd of June.

Over the reporting period, six  incidents were reported

Summary:

West African VRA/HRA: Three alerts reported this week : Piracy attack in the vicinity of the Agbami Oilfield on the 27th of June, Robbery of a cargo ship at anchorage in vicinity of Takoradi, Ghana on the 28th of June. and Kidnapping of personnel on a general cargo vessel at Douala anchorage, Cameroon on the 1st of July.

Indian Ocean VRA/HRA: Two alerts reported this week: Suspicious approach near Port Hodeidah, Yemen on the 27th of June and Notice of Firing Exercise in Gulf of Oman throughout the month of July reported on the 1st of July.

Southeast Asia Region: One alerts were reported this week : Robbery of an underway bulk carrier Phillip Channel, Eastbound lane TSS, Singapore Strait on the 26th of June.

Americas Region: No alert was ported this week. Last reported alert was a robbery of a Chemical Tanker at Callao Anchorage, Peru on the 3rd of June.

Americas Region: No alert was ported this week. Last reported alert was a robbery of a Chemical Tanker at Callao Anchorage, Peru on the 3rd of June.

Indian Ocean VRA/HRA: no alerts were reported this week. Last reported alert was a Live Firing Exercise on the 12th of June in the Red Sea, taking place from the 12th to the 15th of June

Over the reporting period, two incidents were reported:

One incident in South East Asia :

• An attempted robbery was reported aboard a Barge Under Tow by a Singapore-flagged Tug in the Westbound Lane of the Traffic Separation Scheme (TSS), Singapore Strait.

One incident in the Indian Ocean:

• Firing Practice with Live Ammunition was set to be conducted on 16 and 17 MAY 2023.

Over the reporting period, three incidents were reported

One incident in West Africa :

• A Marshall Islands-flagged Bulk Carrier, GREBE BULKER, was reportedly boarded while anchored at Owendo inner anchorage, Gabon, on the 02nd of May 2023.

Four incidents in the Indian Ocean:

• UKMTO reported that Live Weapons Firing was to be conducted on 02 May and 03 May 2023.
• UKMTO reported that Naval ships were/are to conduct surface, anti-aircraft and depth charge live firing practice between 02 May and 23 May 2023.
• UKMTO reported that Live Weapons Firing was to be conducted between 05 May and 06 May 2023.
• The U.S. Naval Forces Central Command confirmed the seizure of a Panama-flagged Crude Oil Tanker NIOVI (IMO: 9292498) by the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corp (IRGC) while underway in the Strait of Hormuz (approximately 32nm NE of Khasab, Oman).

• Marshall Islands-flagged Crude Oil Tanker, ADVANTAGE SWEET, seized by IRNA in Gulf of Oman on the 27th of April.

• West African VRA/HRA: One alert was reported this week. Robbery of Cargo Vessel at Luanda anchorage on the 19th of April.
• Southeast Asia Region: No alerts were reported this week. Incident occurring in previous week recently reported. Robbery of a Tanker at Belawan anchorage, Indonesia on the 16th of April.
• Indian Ocean VRA/HRA: No alerts were reported this week. The last alert was a notice of a Firing Exercise near the Gulf of Oman on the 12th of April.
• Americas Region: No alerts were reported this week.Last reported incident was robbery of anchored Bulk Carrier in Callao, Peru on 28th of March.

• Southeast Asia Region: Two alerts were reported this week. A robbery of a Barge under tow in Westbound Lane TSS, Singapore Straits, on the 12th of April, and a robbery of a Tanker in Eastbound Lane TSS, Phillip Channel, Singapore Straits, on the 13th of April.
• Indian Ocean VRA/HRA: One alert was reported this week. A firing exercise near the Gulf of Oman on the 12th of April.
• Americas Region: No alerts were reported this week.

• Indian Ocean VRA/HRA: One alert was reported this week. It was reported that increased Uncrewed Aerial System (UAS) activity in the Northern Arabian Sea and the Gulf of Oman.
