About Small World
Small World is a vibrant, volunteer-run organisation that brings together women from different nationalities to support charities across Nigeria. Every year, the Small World event celebrates cultural diversity through food, music, and performances, all while raising funds for carefully chosen charitable causes. Women’s groups from around the world take part, with each one nominating a charity to receive a share of the proceeds. Funds are distributed equally, and a dedicated committee ensures donations go where they are needed most.
Ensuring a Safe and Successful Event
For the second consecutive year, Castor Vali Service Nigeria (CVSN) supported the Small World event as a security sponsor, contributing in-kind security services to ensure the safety of over 2,000 guests gathered under the theme Woman of the World. The team worked closely with event organisers and key security agencies, including:
- Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA)
- Department of State Services (DSS)
- Bomb Squad
- Mobile Police Force (Mopol)
- Counter Terrorism Unit
- International SOS
Castor Vali’s role included deploying a dedicated team of security personnel and supervisors, as well as developing the security layout map and evacuation procedures in collaboration with the Head of Security at the Federal Palace Hotel.
A Collective Effort for a Greater Cause
Small World 2025 was a celebration of culture and community, bringing together volunteers, sponsors, and attendees to raise over N55 million ($34,810) for charitable organisations. As security sponsor, Castor Vali was proud to play a role in ensuring a safe and well-organised event, allowing guests to fully enjoy the occasion while supporting important causes. The event’s success was a testament to the dedication of everyone involved, reinforcing the spirit of collaboration that makes Small World such a special initiative.
